AUTOMATIC TWO WHEELER WASHER PART-2
What is vehicle washing?
A vehicle wash is a facility used to clean the exterior and, in some cases, the interior of vehicles. It can be self-service (DIY), full-service (with attendants who wash the vehicle), or fully automated.
Commercial car washes in the United States were first established in 1914 by Frank McCormick and J W Hinkle in the name of Automobile Laundry in Detroit, Michigan. People used manpower to push or move the cars through various stages of the process. The car wash operations peaked at 32 drive-through facilities in the United States. The first semi-automatic car wash in the United States made its debut in 1946. A facility in Detroit, Michigan used automatic pulley systems and manual brushing.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Automated vehicle washing?
Advantage :
- No matter how hard you scrub and how careful you are, there may still be some stains on your vehicles that you cannot reach or clean by hand. Today’s vehicles washes are programmed to take care of all parts of the vehicle, making it significantly less likely that they will miss certain areas while cleaning your vehicles.
They are Fast
- With automated vehicle washing, you can zip right through with little to no hassle for you. The latest models are customizable, meaning that you may even be able to wax or clean your tires with just the touch of a button. The only thing you’ll have to worry about then is whether or not there is a line.
Better Paint Protection
- Automatic car wash is designed to protect the paint on the car. This means it will last longer and will be less prone to weather damage later down the road.
Disadvantage :
They Never Dry Well
- There has probably been at least one occasion (if not more) where you have had to spot dry a vehicle yourself because the machine just couldn’t do the job. The high-powered fans that accompany an automated vehicle washing system are not built to accommodate all vehicles. Smaller vehicles may not have a dry windshield, while larger vehicles may leave the wash with half of their vehicle still soaked. Though a mechanical vehicle wash may relieve you of a lot of hassle, the dryers usually are not advanced enough to do a thorough job
Automated Car Wash Leaves Spots
- Similar to the problem described above, sometimes vehicle wash leave watermarks on mirrors and windshields that are not aesthetically pleasing. These spots can also be distracting for the driver and will require some manual touch-up and drying at home.
