Factory finish painting for 2W segment
When was the last time you had a thought about painting your bike?
Most people want their cars or bikes to look brand new, but they aren’t sure how to choose an automotive paint. Automotive paint, unlike any other generic paint, is meant to be on the car/bike body for its lifetime, well almost. It is made as a compound mixture of certain products where a particular product plays its own respective role.
Should a bike be painted very cautiously? Believe it or not, nowadays bikes come with a super-powered engine with customized colors as per customer’s needs. Automotive paint has a dramatic effect on the overall look of the vehicle. Thus painting a bike requires special skills and specialized equipment. A bike can be painted exceptionally. But how? Using a paint booth. The bike should be painted very carefully to maintain its original OEM mixed color. In addition to thermal lights, the booth has a dryer to dry the paint faster.
What is a paint booth?
A paint booth is a large, contained environment equipped with exhaust assembly and filters to make bike spray painting safer, cleaner and quicker. It enhances results by altering air pressure to blow contaminants out of the container and clear out overspray from the paint sprayers.
Contained painting process
A paint booth can be a solvent-borne booth or water-borne. There is an obvious drift in automotive paints from the usage of solvent-borne paints to water-borne paints. Although water-borne paints reduce VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions it takes a longer drying time than solvent-based paints. A smart booth will have a dryer that reduces the drying time of water-borne paints. A two-wheeler paint booth helps a technician to figure out the difference between repainting with the original OEM painting.
The contained painting process will provide a controlled environment for effective painting, control hazardous materials and thus a clean painting environment devoid of dust and debris.

ATS ELGI Paint Booth
As technology paved the way for driverless cars, the bike market is seeing similar growth as it is now enabling the introduction of superbikes to the market. When compared to conventional bikes, superbikes now focus more on performance and colors to give a premium feel. When it comes to engine troubleshooting or painting a motorcycle, it’s important to be cautious. With these factors in mind, ATS ELGI offers paint booths specially designed for 2W segments which use the true downdraft air design. The air flows over the top of the vehicle components, around the sides, and is thrust down through the filters.
